And Breath...

After an incredible 4 weeks of local, seasonal and festive events its time to have a week of catching up with so much stuff, allowing the body to regroup as we are exhausted whilst acquiring numerous aches and pains including the my hands from all of the mixing, stirring, lifting, pot washing and packing but we loved it and your feedback has been amazing! Thoughts are turning to christmas not only from a business perspective but also from our own celebrations with family and friends. Between christmas and new year is the one time of the year when we can have a proper break, everyone is full on turkey and trimmings, purchased far too much food and are thinking to their new years resolutions which usually includes loosing the additional christmas pounds so it gives me chance to take the foot off the gas and regroup, reflect and plan what I would like to achieve in the next 12 months. As some of you know I have 2 dreams, firstly to write a beautiful cake book and share my recipes with you, the other is to open a gorgeous cake shop whereby you can enjoy a piece of cake, have a cup of tea or coffee and watch the world go by or get lost in a book. Looking at the calendar my last day of baking and making deliveries will be by lunch time of the 23rd December and working with the businesses I supply hopefully not turn the ovens on until the new year, the last Friday cake club will be the 18th December,  the postage of cakes becomes challenging due to the sheer volume of post and to guarantee delivery looking at Royal Mail website last postage will be Monday the 21st December for first class however dependant on outcome of businesses there may be a limited choice available as there is no additional Friday cake club until the new year to help find homes for the remaining cake, I appreciate this is limiting however I hate food waste and would like to close the order book so I can simply relax and enjoy the festivities, any questions or queries please drop me an email via my website, there's a contact me link.....The local festive events continue towards the end of November and into December, where you can find me;
28th & 29th November-Newfield Icecream Parlour & Cafe festive fair from 10am-4pm
3rd December- Southwell late night shopping event with Country Home Interiors, Southwell
6th December- Gonalston Farm Shop Festive food extravaganza
17th December-Hearty Goodfellow Southwell Last minute christmas shopping and pamper event

Hope to see you there and remember to please support local businesses

Take care
